Compared to synthetic vitamins, whole food supplements can have superior efficacy and bioavailability. But wholefood ingredients need to be carefully harvested, processed, packaged and stored to ensure that the delicate bioactives don't go stale and lose their potency.
Our ingredients are grown locally, they don't sit in warehouses all over the world, they don't pass through the hands of distributors and sales agents, they are as fresh as possible when they reach your dog.

Traceable ingredients are important in all food industries, but sadly pet food is where manufacturers are often dealing with dodgy byproducts, from a wide range of suppliers, and the path to market can get confused.

New Zealand grows a number of unique bioactive ingredients including Green Lipped Mussel, Manuka honey, kiwifruit, tart cherries. As a country, we have gained a reputation for natural supplement ingredients that have exceptionally strong potency. It is thought this has to do with our fragile ozone layer situation, meaning the sun is extremely strong when it hits our crops.
Have we sourced the most affordable bioactives? No. But there is no point in feeding your dog bioactive ingredients unless they are actually active.
